Attestations & Legalization

Attestations are made to only Ghanaian and Qatari documents such as affidavits for change of name or marital status, birth certificates, marriage certificates etc. All sworn affidavits from a High Court in Ghana must bear an authentication letter from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Accra before submission to the Embassy for the required attestation.

Divorce Decrees issued in the Arabic language or any other language, other than English, must be notarized translated into English before submitting to the Embassy. In all cases photocopies of the applicant’s Ghanaian passport (pages of personal details, photo and signature) must be attached to the request.

(a.) Legal claims sworn before a Commissioner for Oaths / Notary Public: Change of name, Nationality, Date of Birth etc.:

(b.) Birth Certificate, Driver License, Police Report, Marriage, Divorce Certificates and other legal certificates:

(d.) Endorsement of Certificates for use in Ghana
